Iron and aluminum fences in Frisco
Costs per foot, front-yard limits and pool rules.
Metal fences show up in front yards, around pools and along open space. Here is what the published sources say.
Cost per linear foot
- Aluminum: $25 to $75 (HomeGuide, February 2026)
- Wrought iron: $50 to $85 (HomeGuide)
Gates add to that. HomeAdvisor lists premium-material gates at $400 to $1,200.
Front yards
Frisco's FAQ limits fences in front of the house to 4 feet, so a front-yard metal fence needs to stay at or under that. Visibility rules near driveways and corners also apply.
Around a pool
If the fence is part of a pool barrier, Frisco's pool enclosure requirements apply, including a 48-inch minimum height, self-closing and self-latching gates that open away from the pool, a limit on gaps between vertical members, and no more than 2 inches between grade and the bottom of the barrier. See pool fences before choosing a design.
